Colorado Springs police are investigating the deaths of an elderly couple found shot to death late Tuesday night.
Dr. Ted Eugene Cull and his wife, Shirley, both 82, were found dead in their home on the 3200 block of Paseo Drive.
Autopsies have been performed on the Culls. The cause of death of Ted Cull was suicide. The cause of death of Shirley Cull will take further testing to determine, according to a news release by Lt. Catherine Buckley.
Colorado Springs police received a 9:36 p.m. call of a “suicide in progress.”
When police arrived at the home four minutes after the call, they discovered the bodies of a man and woman. Both had died of a gunshot wound.
“There is no perceived danger to the citizens of Colorado Springs,” according to a news release.
