Stars light up the night sky in Meeker, Colo. (RJ Sangosti, The Denver Post)

Re: “Night light woes spur Colorado push to restore starry skies,” Nov. 21 news story.

We moved from Miami to Evergreen recently, trading ocean views for great vistas of the Rockies. We are not disappointed. From our living room, Mount Evans inspires us most days. The many hundreds of visible stars at night are an unexpected benefit. But light pollution, as Bruce Finley’s article stated, threatens such night sights. We applaud Westcliffe for taking steps to become a dark-sky town and encourage other Colorado communities to do the same.
