Re: “Renewable energy’s dirty little secret,” Nov. 22 Perspective article.

Thanks for the in-depth report on the environmental impact of wind and solar power. In the interests of balanced reporting, I wonder if you would please present an article about the environmental impact of extended use of fossil fuels (if any). I’ve read that burning coal and oil result in exposure to mercury, lead and carbon monoxide, among other harmful materials. These substances are a detriment to all plant and animal life, not just raptors.

Trying to paint renewable energy efforts as anti-environment is for the birds!
