No worries, indeed. The recent sold-out had an economic impact of $24 million, counting travel, hotels, restaurants, parking and such, based on The Broadway League’s formula. The League maintains Broadway tours contribute 3 1/2 times the gross ticket sales to the metro area’s economy.

The four-week run that ended Nov. 29 drew more than 87,000 patrons during 32 performances, according to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. This is the 14th year the show has toured. It remains one of the most popular stage musicals in the world. The North American touring productions have been seen by more than 15 million theatergoers and grossed over $1 billion to date.
