Garden of Lights
The Montrose Botanical Gardens will host the second annual Garden of Lights on Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 18-20 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The gardens will host storytellers, visits from Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music and an animated light show; there will also be hot cocoa and snacks. $3 for children 5-18, $5 for adults, free for children 4 and under. montrose
Tommelfest and holiday market
Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa will host a Tommelfest and Holiday Gift Market event on Dec. 12, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tommelfest includes free ski lessons (space is limited), live music, a keg toss, team sprints, retail specials and a petting zoo at Heck’s. Christmas show
The Broadmoor will host its family-friendly holiday variety show, “A Classic Broadmoor Christmas,” on Dec. 12, 18, 19, 20, 24, and 27. Dinner and the show are included in a package with accommodations for one night. /
Vail Holidaze
Vail and Lionshead will host holiday family activities during Vail Holidaze, Dec. 18-31, including holiday cookie decorating, skating around the Arrabelle Square and Solaris ice rink and the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony before the Lantern Walk through Vail Village.
