Cherokee Trail was named the 2015-16 Gatorade Colorado volleyball player of the year.
The 6-foot-1 outside hitter helped lead the and final 25-4 mark this past season. Webb finished with 516 kills and recorded a .419 kill percentage and .314 hitting percentage.
“I’ve yet to meet a more driven and dedicated athlete,” Cherokee Trail head coach Terry Miller said in a statement to Gatorade. “She has grown into one of the most formidable outside hitters in the state of Colorado, and opposing coaches have to keep this in mind when preparing to play us. Shannon was our starting outside hitter from the moment she came to Cherokee Trail, and she’s truly become almost scary with her power and accuracy.”
Webb signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at American University in Fall 2016.
