Getting your player ready...

It’s holiday time and Broncos fans could get a double treat.

Appliance Factory and Mattress Kingdom has unleashed its annual promotion of covering up to $1 million worth of appliances if the Broncos shutout the Raiders. The company will reimburse customers who spend at least $479 by Saturday night.

The promotion has been going on for a little over a decade with a few close calls, but no shutouts.

This season appears to be the Broncos’ best chance with the league’s No. 1 defense. Opposing offenses average 17.5 points per game against the Broncos this season. Denver held the second-ranked passing offense of the San Diego Chargers to three points last week.

Oakland is a middle-of-the-pack offensive team. They average 23.7 points per game, but scored a season-low 10 points when they lost to Denver in Oakland Oct. 11.

The Broncos last shut out Oakland 27-0 on Oct. 16, 1995.

If the promotion is carried out and Broncos do shut out the Raiders, Appliance Factory and Mattress Kingdom wouldn’t be the ones taking the big hit. They’ve already paid for insurance to cover the promotion if the shutout is fulfilled.

A customer is eligible for the “Denver vs. Oakland” challenge by making a purchase between $479 and $3,000 and pay in full by Saturday.
