Bike riders in dark clothing on dark, tree-lined streets can make driving home from work a terrifying experience for fear of hitting a bike rider.
Bikes and their riders need reflective gear and lights. One little bike light does little to warn car drivers: it can look like a yard light, a flashlight, or a reflection. Bikes need bright headlights, blinking or continuous strobe rear lights, and lights that revolve with the tires. Riders need reflective backpack covers, reflective vests or armbands.
