Stricker’s Winter Wonderland, 6636 S. Lafayette St., Centennial

Joe Stricker’s home is a holiday extravaganza, with thousands of cool white lights circling trees and multicolor lights on the house and shrubs. Dozens of animatronic figures and inflatables fill the yard, as does a sleigh Stricker built himself. There’s also video playing so visitors can see the Grinch stealing the Stricker’s Christras, and guests can borrow glasses that make the lights look like snowflakes. Stricker says he spent 76 hours creating the scene this year. “My son is 6 and my daughter is 4, so they can help me now, but it’s pretty much a one-man show,” he says. We’re sending him a $50 prize, which he plans to donate to his son’s school, Franklin Elementary in Centennial.
