A Golden woman who went on a Colorado ski trip last week didn’t return home when expected and is considered missing.
Lacey S. Oar, 32, headed southwest on Dec. 23 to ski Wolf Creek and Crested Butte and was supposed to return home on Sunday Dec. 27, according to a community Facebook page FindLaceyOar.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Delta Police Department are investigating her disappearance.
Family and friends have not heard from Oar and have been unable to reach her by phone.
Credit card records show that Oar checked into a hotel in Delta on Monday, Dec. 28, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. Investigators found her dog, Lucy, in Oar’s room.
Oar was driving a green 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, Colorado license plate 889-QNL. The SUV was found in Delta on Thursday.
Oar was last seen in Delta, according to Delta police, on Monday, Dec. 28. Police said Oar is considered “endangered” and there are concerns “she may be experiencing a medical issue.”
Investigators describe Oar as 5-feet 7-inches tall, about 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
