The space used by Lodo’s mid-sized music and comedy venue Casselman’s Bar and Venue has been leased by Oregon’s, as .
The InBev-owned company bought the space in 2015, which they plan to turn into a tap house by the second half of 2016. It will be the brewery’s fourth location, having already established businesses in Boise, Portland and Bend.
You may remember Casselman’s as the venue where Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin was scheduled to play with his band before getting arrested for. The 8,000-square-foot room has also played home to metal documentary subjects , and countless hip-hop acts and stand-up comedians.
10 Barrel Brewery would not address whether or not the venue would retain a performance area, stating:
When we expanded into Denver in 2015 we experienced for ourselves first-hand what an amazing craft beer city it is and knew the next step was to build a pub there. We’re super stoked to announce we’ll start building shortly and that we will be brewing in Denver in the second half of 2016. We’ll share more details as soon as we can
Casselman’s owner Andrew Ranes declined to comment for this story.
