1 No need for speed. An officer pulled a car over near the intersection of West Littleton Boulevard and South Hickory Street, Littleton, on Dec. 4 after it failed to signal a right turn. While talking to the female driver, a K-9 unit arrived and the dog indicated the car contained narcotics. Inside the driver’s purse, officers found two syringes, one of which tested positive for meth. A passenger in the car said the driver wasn’t high at the time but had forgot the syringes were in the car and found them in her sunglasses holder when reaching for her insurance card. Charges are pending.

2 Scary boyfriend. A man grabbed and physically assaulted his girlfriend as they argued about their relationship while seated in his car in the 5800 block of South Bemis Street, Littleton, on Dec. 10. The victim’s stepmom called her to check on her, and though the boyfriend knocked the phone to the ground, the woman heard him threaten to kill her daughter’s family. He was arrested.

3 Man on lam rams cruiser. Police tried to pull over a red Chrysler 300 in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 400 block of West Prentice Avenue, Littleton, on Dec. 3. As officers approached, the male driver sped off, hitting a police car as he fled. The car was found nearby several hours later with a wheel missing and other major damage. A man’s court documents were found in the center console.

4 Game drain. On Dec. 13, someone broke the window of the Game-Stop store at 181 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton, and stole $350- $450 worth of Xbox games.
