Winter tasting
Estes Park will host Winter Festival from noon-5 p.m. Jan. 16-17. The festival will include live music, kids’ activities, a chili cook-off and bottomless craft beer and wine tastings at the Estes Park Events Complex. One-day admission for adults is $17 without a tasting pass or $30 with a tasting pass, and admission for children ages 4-9 is $5.
Culinary weekend
Renowned chefs will offer interactive cooking demonstrations at Beaver Creek’s Winter Culinary Weekend from Jan. 21-24. The weekend includes wine-and-spirits events and gourmet wine-pairing dinners. Tickets for individual events range from $50-$175. 800-953-0844 or
Ice fishing
The Granby Chamber of Commerce will host the 28th annual 3 Lakes Ice Fishing Tournament from Jan. 29-31. Competitors in numerous categories and age groups will vie for more than $18,000 of prizes. Entries are $35 for one day, $45 for two days and $50 for all three days. 970-887-2311 or
Art walk
The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo will participate in First Friday Art Walk with an opening reception Feb. 5 by offering free access to the seven fine art galleries inside the Helen T.
