Re: “Possible punishments for accidents involving concealed-carry weapons,” Jan. 11 letter to the editor.
Letter-writer Brian LeFevre suggests punishing licensed concealed-carry permit holders in case there is an accidental firing.
This is the typical response from liberals attacking the Second Amendment and responsible concealed-carry holders (who are trained and undergo extensive background checks).
What about criminals who carry guns in the act of a crime who do not have a license or any background check? How about a mandatory 10-year sentence on top of what they receive for the crime?
Lay off us law-abiding citizens.
