Kylee Shook, the star center for Mesa Ridge in Colorado Springs, has been named a McDonald’s All-American and will play in the select basketball games for senior boys and girls players on March 30 at the United Center in Chicago.

Players were announced on Sunday night on ESPNU.

The 6-foot-4 Shook, who has signed to play at Louisville, is averaging 29.6 points and 15.0 points for the Class 4A Grizzlies, who entered the week 11-1 overall and 4-0 in the C.S. Metro League.

Shook will play for the West team in the game,

She joins a short, select list of outstanding Colorado girls who were named to the team and is the first local to be named in 11 seasons.. The first was Highlands Ranch;s Ann Strother, 2002, followed by Liz Sherwood, Highlands Ranch, 2003; Cissy Pierce, Heritage, 2004; and Abby Waner, ThunderRidge, 2005.
