Four people were taken by ambulance to a hospital — at least two of them in serious condition — after a car slammed into a tree in Denver early Thursday morning.

The one-vehicle accident happened at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Krameria Street, according to a 4:18 a.m. Denver police tweet.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
