Steamboat carnival
The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club will continue a 103-year-old tradition by hosting the Steamboat Winter Carnival, Feb. 3-7. The family-friendly carnival will feature events that pay homage to Steamboat’s ski heritage, including a community tubing party, night ski jumping, a cross country obstacle race, a Night Extravaganza and fireworks. Snowdown Durango
The 38th annual Snowdown Durango festival will be held Jan. 27-31. The festival’s 140 events will have an ’80s theme and will include such activities as the Snowdown light parade, a Polar Bear Plunge, a chili cook-off and family-friendly activities.
Ice-art festival
