The weather forecast calls for mild temperatures in the Denver metro area, with sunny skies and almost no wind.
“Temperatures will be way above normal,” said Bob Kleyla, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The normal high temperatures for this week range from 44 to 45 degrees, Kleyla said.
But the high temperature is expected to climb above 50 Wednesday and above 60 on Friday, he said. The low temperature will be 37 degrees on Friday.
“There is a slight chance for rain on Saturday,” Kleyla said.
Snow is expected in the mountains on Saturday, he said.
Once the weekend is past, next week is expected to end up being dryer and warmer, according to NWS meteorlogist Jim Kalina .
“There’s a 30 percent chance of snow Tuesday, but by Wednesday things should be dried out,” Kalina said.
Cold temperatures are expected to stick around through the rest of next week following the possibility of a weekend snowstorm, according to Kalina.
