The Super Bowl is more than a week away, but the Carolina Panthers have already beaten the Denver Broncos in one area: Grammar.
That’s according to a report released Wednesday by the team at . It took a look at the Twitter accounts of each team’s starters and averaged how many mistakes they had made over the course of 60-100 tweets. Players without verified accounts or had less than 60 tweets were omitted from the rankings.
The Broncos chimed in with an average of 4.5 mistakes per 100 words, while the Panthers made 4.3 mistakes per 100.
Panthers defensive end Jared Allen was the MVP of the 2016 Grammar Bowl — as dubbed by Grammarly — averaging just 0.7 mistakes per 100 words. Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware was second with a rate of 0.9.
The Broncos’ worst offenders came from the defensive line with Sylvester Williams (10.4) and Malik Jackson (10.7) coming in at No. 17 and 18, respectively, for Denver. The player with the highest number of mistakes is Panthers guard Trai Turner, who had 11.5 per 100.
The battle of the quarterbacks was inconclusive as Peyton Manning does not have a verified Twitter account. Cam Newton does and averaged just 1.3 mistakes, third best among all players.
