The Colorado State Capitol. (Andy Cross, The Denver Post)
Re: Should Colorado legislature pass aid in dying act?, Feb. 3 letters to the editor.
I m writing to encourage Coloradans to oppose the bill on physician-assisted suicide. It goes against the oath that doctors take that they are to save lives and not take them. Physician-assisted suicide stands to threaten the lives of those at a most vulnerable point in their lives. It s possible to foresee a future corruption of this legislation to where one s own life would be endangered regardless of how healthy and well-adjusted one may be. State-sanctioned, physician-assisted suicide is bad legislation.
