A Colorado Springs man is accused of stabbing his neighbor during a confrontation over a loud television on Super Bowl Sunday.
Kevin Riley, 51, allegedly attacked his upstairs neighbor in the 400 block of East Kiowa Street when the man came to confront him.
Investigators say the neighbor used a small wooden bat to knock on Riley’s door in an attempt to get him to turn his TV down. When Riley opened the door, he threw the neighbor to the ground and began to stab him several times in his back and sides, witnesses told police.
The victim was treated at Memorial Hospital and released. Riley was arrested and is being held at the El Paso County jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Police did not say what Riley was watching on TV.
