
1 Father knows best. A father suspicious his daughter was hanging out with a boyfriend she had a protection order against stopped by her house Jan. 20 in the 2600 block of South Miller Drive, Lakewood. His hunch proved correct, and the boyfriend fled the apartment.
2 Drug-induced nap. Police arrested and charged a man with DUI and drug possession Feb. 3 after he was found passed out in his car with the engine running in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store at 1355 S. Sheridan Blvd. in Lakewood.
3 Teen trouble. Four juveniles were caught on camera walking out of the Walmart at 7455 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood with bags of unpaid-for items totaling almost $250 on Feb. 3. They were arrested and released to their parents.
4 Failed bait-and-switch. A woman was cited for shoplifting Feb. 6 after trying to exchange a floor model vacuum cleaner for cash at the service desk of Walmart, 440 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood.
5 Roommate problems. A roommate meeting about money problems Feb. 6 in the 1300block of South Ingalls Street, Lakewood, turned violent when one of the roommates began yelling racial slurs and pushing another female roommate. She was arrested.
6 Police ignored. Police cited a man Jan. 5 after he ran in heavy traffic across West Alameda Avenue near Belmar in Lakewood. He ignored three officer requests to stop, later telling officers he kept running “to stay warm.”
