In honor of World Spay Day, the Dumb Friends League is offering a free cat spay and neuter clinic on Feb. 23. Its Meow and Lulu mobile clinics will be at the Denver Animal Shelter (1241 W. Bayaud Ave.). All pet parents receive a voucher for a free pet microchip identification implant and gift bag. To qualify for the surgery, kittens and cats must weigh at least two pounds. There is no limit to the number of cats you can bring. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., first-come, first-served. A large turnout is expected, so it’s recommended to arrive before 7 a.m. to secure a spot in line. The clinic will accept cats until they reach capacity. Each surgery is performed by a licensed veterinarian. If you can’t make it, its mobile clinic always offers free spay/neuter services for cats.
