WWE superstar John Cena celebrates winning the US title at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. WrestleMania broke the Levi’s Stadium attendance record at 76,976 fans from all 50 states and 40 countries. (Don Feria, AP Images for WWE)

Will John Cena be back in time for WrestleMania 32?

Six weeks removed from shoulder surgery, the WWE superstar took questions from the media Sunday at Daytona International Speedway where he was the honorary pace car driver for the Daytona 500.

“As far as me participating in WrestleMania … The magic 8-ball says ‘ask again later,’ ” Cena said.

He joked with the crowd, adding: “Percentagewise, I’m somewhere between 0 and 100.”

Cena has been out of action since late December. He said he would be back only if he’s able to fully perform in the ring.

“It would be personally unfortunate for me to miss WrestleMania, but if I can’t perform, it would be unfortunate for the people watching WrestleMania for something that is worthy of the event,” he said.

WrestleMania 32 will take place April 3 at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas.

Cena was also slapped in the face by Fox Sports reporter Jamie Little’s ponytail who (wait for it) could not see him.
