The Kitchen restaurant will be going into Cherry Creek at the new Coda building set to open this August.

Kitchen co-founders Hugo Matheson and Kimbal Musk said the new restaurant will have a similar look as its first restaurant in Boulder with wood floors, beamed ceilings and a central wood-burning oven for roasted meats and flatbreads.

The Kitchen Cherry Creek, at 100 Steele Street, is a 4,500 square-foot space that will seat 125 people. There will be a trellis-covered patio for about 45 people, along with an outdoor urban garden.

, located at the corner of 1st Ave. and Steele St., is part of the construction boom in that area, a mixed-use space with apartments and office space.

Locating a new restaurant in Cherry Creek is part of the co-owners , which include opening The Kitchen Next Door, a community pub, in Stapleton this fall.
