Police have arrested three suspects in a Lakewood carjacking Monday in which a man lured by a Craigslist advertisement was shot.

The names of the three, who were questioned by Lakewood detectives Thursday, have not been released. They were arrested after a short police chase involving Denver officers near Sloan’s Lake just after midnight Wednesday, Lakewood police spokeswoman Andrea Joo said.

No one was injured during the arrest at West 20th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, she said.

Lakewood police said the Craigslist ad probably was related to drugs. Police described the following: The drug dealers arranged to meet two men at West 26th Avenue and Pierce Street on Monday night. A white sedan, occupied by a man and a woman, pulled up behind a green Ford Escape about 8:30 p.m. The man in the sedan shot the Escape’s driver, and the woman stole the SUV.

The driver’s wounds are not life-threatening.
