The body of a man has been identified as a 49-year-old Lakewood man, officials say.
The body of Michael Edlin was discovered at 2 p.m. Saturday near Kipling Parkway and Florida Avenue by two fishermen, according to a news release by Steve Davis, Lakewood police spokesman.
He was last seen by his family on Feb. 10 when he walked from his home in the Green Mountain area. A missing person report was filed later that day.
Detectives continue their investigation into Edlin’s death but as of yet have no reason to suspect that his death was the result of any criminal activity, according to the news release.
Anyone who feels they have information about Edlin is asked to call Lakewood police.
Edlin, who suffered from Addison’s disease, had not been properly dressed for winter.
He had been last seen running at the intersection of Jewel Avenue and South Union Boulevard, heading north on Union.
