Through Saturday. The 13th annual BaoBao Festival, which celebrates African dance, music and storytelling, has a high-minded mission alongside its usual performances and workshops. All proceeds from this year’s event will go toward the BaoBao Library Project, which is in the process of building a youth library in Santa Maria, Ghana. To support it, check out the 7:30 p.m. shows at King Center Concert Hall at Metropolitan State University on March 11 ($5-$10) and 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 12 at Casey Middle School in Boulder, the latter of which includes an African marketplace followed by dancing, music and drumming ($12-$15). .
