Earlier this year, Rostam Batmanglij, the creative force responsible for the infectious beats fans grew to love as , announced he was leaving the band.

But all is not lost. Fans will just have to hitch their love to Batmanglij’s new solo project, Rostam.
He’s already released his first single, “EOS,” and now, the Grammy-award winner has debuted a second delicate single, “Gravity Don’t Pull Me,” via XL Records. No plans for a full length album at the time (who releases full albums anymore anyways?), but the producer looks poised to stream out a series of singles this year.

Despite splitting with Vampire Weekend, Batamanglij has been keeping busy. The producer has worked with notable artists like Jenny Lewis, Charli XCX, Sanitgold, Hamilton Leithauser and Carly Rae Jepsen, not to mention a brief stint on .
