Phoenix-based Vestar has bought the Bowles Crossing Shopping Center across from Southwest Plaza Mall in Jefferson County, the commercial real estate firm announced.
Vestar — which also owns the Orchard Town Center in Westminster — bought Bowles Crossing in December for $76 million and is in charge of operations for the 53.8-acre shopping center.
“We liked the real estate,” said Clint Marchuk, Vestar’s vice president of acquisitions. “It was an opportunity to create additional value in the center over time.”
The shopping center at 8055 W. Bowles Ave. is anchored by a newly-renovated AMC movie theater and also includes a

Vestar plans to expand the shopping center with new retail and restaurants, but Marchuk said the company was not in a position to talk about specifics.
