A person was shot Tuesday night in a parking lot of the Town Center at Aurora, police said.
The victim was shot in the mall’s P parking lot, near the JC Penney outlet, according to a 7:45 p.m. Aurora Police Department Twitter post.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the incident, police said.
A suspect in the shooting is in custody. Police initially said a second suspect was at large, but that has been discounted.
The mall remained open for business.
