WASHINGTON — A watchdog at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs concluded in two separate reports on Friday that allegations of wrongdoing at clinics in Denver and Grand Junction were both unfounded.

One dealt with a report of information related to wait lists at the dental clinic at the VA Medical Center in Denver. The other examined the possible of a spreadsheet for scheduling appointments at the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction.

Neither allegation proved true, according to the reports.

The releases are the latest in a series of investigations by the VA’s inspector general into wait times at VA clinics across the country.

The inquiries by a 2014 scandal in Phoenix where at least 35 veterans died while awaiting medical care; investigators would later confirm VA employees had created “unofficial wait lists’ and manipulated scheduling times to disguise long delays.
