Just over a week before it was scheduled to take place, Colorado’s inaugural Minus Zero Festival has been postponed.

The April 2-3 event would have brought an impressive list of DJs to Winter Park Resort, including , and eleven other producers.

A release from Minus Zero said that the decision was made because of inclement weather, which would have risked the safety of the festival’s pre-production crew.

According to Steve Hurlbert, Director of PR for Winter Park resorts, the decision came down yesterday in the midst of a 20-inch snow fall over the last 48 hours. “It’s a lot, but it’s not record setting,” Hurlbert said of the snow. “March is usually our snowiest month.”

Hurlbert said the resort is “definitely looking forward to rescheduling” the event, which according to the release, will be set for sometime during the 2016/17 ski season.

When asked whether a festival organizing a winter-time music festival at a ski resort in Colorado should have prepared for this kind contingency, Hurlbert said: “That’s a terrific point.”

A representative from Minus Zero said fans could hear about a rescheduled date for the festival as early as next week, but that there would likely be a different lineup.

The Minus Zero Festival’s Vermont event on April 9 and 10 will take place as scheduled.

In 2014, Minus Zero Festival had to call off its first-ever event, set for Mountain High, California, had to be called off due to .
