Interview with Sarah and Shaune Walter, owners
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: Shaune and I successfully quit smoking through vaping. We saw that it was successful for many friends and family members, as well. We then did a lot of research and decided to open VapeWize. We soon fell in love with the culture and people within the industry.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We only carry authentic product — no clones or knock-offs. Our No. 1 philosophy is to teach first and sell second, so that we can pair the perfect device for each person individually. We carry more than 120 different e-liquids with a variety of prices to give our customers many options.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I love to help people successfully quit smoking. I love meeting new people and soon watching them become regulars and friends. I love the hands-on environment. Since it is a new industry, there are a lot of challenges regarding laws and regulations and it’s awesome to see the vape community come together and support each other.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Our biggest challenge is that it is such a new technology, it is sometimes misunderstood and there hasn’t been as much research done yet. There are many different laws and regulations that are still being determined.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: VapeWize only sells products meant for e-liquid, e-cigs and devices for that purpose. We do not sell any products for marijuana product, which sometimes is misunderstood.
