Getting your player ready...

Remember when a dunk from the free-throw line would win the NBA’s slam dunk contest?

Kids nowadays are doing them in games.

Orlando’s Aaron Gordon showed his hops against Brooklyn on Tuesday. Midway in the first quarter, he received a little shove pass from Elfrid Payton and took off from the charity stripe for the jam.

The Magic ended up winning 139-105.

Gordon was the runner-up in this year’s slam dunk contest (though I think he got robbed with just a 50 for his sit-down below-the-legs jam).
