The Yawpers will play the Hi-Dive on Nov. 21 to celebrate the release of “American Man.”
If you’ve ever seen a show, you know Seattle’s KEXP took a bit of a risk letting the band play live over the airwaves.
It isn’t that they aren’t tight in their own barroom Americana rock way. It’s more that frontman Nate Cook can be a bit of handful. But Cook is on his best behavior here. “Know any good jokes, Nate?” host Don Slack asks. “None that are appropriate for radio,” Cook says.
