
Light snow ended in Denver Thursday night and much warmer weather is expected through the weekend.
Friday will be partly cloudy, with a high about 47 degrees, but temperatures in the 60s — and bright sunny skies — are expected through the weekend. With up to a foot of fresh snow in much of the mountains, this should make for a great weekend on Colorado’s ski slopes.
The high on Saturday should be near 59 degrees and on Sunday about 65 degrees. By Tuesday, the Denver metro area could be basking in 73-degree weather.
Moisture is possible on Tuesday, but in the form of rain.As expected on Thursday, bands of snow moved across the Interstate 25 corridor from Denver to Boulder south across Douglas County starting about 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
For the month of March, Denver International Airport reported 18.3 inches of snow. The average amount for March is 11.4 inches.
