Aspen Highlands will reopen for two additional weekends of skiing and snowboarding after its regularly scheduled closing date.
The resort will operate on April 23 and 24 and then again on April 30 and May 1.
Highland’s official closing date is April 10.
The news follows announcements by several other Colorado ski areas thanks to heavy March snowfall.

Vail Mountain will remain open a week longer than planned after more than two feet of snow fell at the resort within the last seven days.
The ski area is now planning to end its season on April 17.
Copper Mountain Resort says it will reopen for an additional weekend after the regularly scheduled closing on April 17. The ski area will let skiers and boarders back on its slopes from April 22 through April 24.
Winter Park Resort also is planning to stay open for an extended season thanks to recent snowstorms. The ski area’s Mary Jane area will keep operating until May 7, 13 days later than planned.
