A man is in stable condition at a local hospital after he was stabbed near the intersection of 22nd and Tremont streets in Denver Saturday night.

The alleged victim was in a verbal altercation with another man when that attack occurred about 6:20 p.m., said Denver Police spokesman Doug Shepman.

The suspect ran away from the scene on foot, but was quickly captured on 22nd Street, Shepman said. There is no indication what caused the argument, he said.
