Brock Berglund, formerly of Valor Christian, has surfaced yet again in college football, this time in Canada.
According to James Colzie III, the new coach at St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Berglund, a former star quarterback for the Eagles in Highlands Ranch, has joined the school.
“SMU Huskies want to welcome ESPN 4-Star QB Brock Berglund to the SMU family,” Colzie stated on Twitter. Colizie is a former national champion defensive back with Florida State.
Berglund, a multiple-sporter for the Eagles who was involved in two state titles, is on his fifth college, including with Kansas and Northern Colorado.
As a senior with Valor Christian in 2010, Berglund threw for 2,150 yards and 23 touchdowns, and rushed for 952 yards and nine TDs. The Eagles won the Class 4A state title.
The year before, Berglund tossed for 2,226 yards and 30 TDs against only four interceptions. He rushed for 890 yards and 14 TDs as Valor Christian finished 14-0 and won the 3A title.
