Classical-plus: Three bassoons past crazy
Thursday. The Boulder Bassoon Quartet continues its quest to bring big attention to an instrument many people take for granted with a concert this week at Baur’s Listening Lounge. The ensemble — Michael Christoph, Kent Hurd, Brian Jack and Ethan Turner — puts the double-reed woodwind front and center (and on both sides) playing selections from Bach to pop.
