Classical/choral: Dream team performs “Requiem”

Tonight-Saturday. Two of Denver’s musical powerhouses — Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir — team up for a Mozart’s ” Requiem” this weekend. It’s a larger-than-life masterpiece that the composer (almost) finished on his death bed in 1791. Musical minds have labored to complete it ever since. Soloists include Amanda Balestrieri, soprano; Leah Biesterfeld, alto; Joseph Gaines, tenor; and David Farwig, bass. 7:30 tonight, First Baptist Church, 1373 Grant St., Denver, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church, 1421 Spruce St., Boulder.
