The El Paso County Coroner ruled Friday that the death of Shirley Cull , an 83-year-old woman who was found dead in her home in 2015, was a homicide, a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

Cull and her husband Ted Cull in their Colorado Springs home on Nov. 24, 2015. Ted Cull’s death was ruled a suicide. After further investigation, officials are calling the incident a murder-suicide.

Friday’s ruling bumps the number of homicides in Colorado Spring up to 28 for 2015.
