A Brighton woman convicted of embezzling $183,000 from her employer was sentenced on Tuesday to six years in prison after her probation was revoked.

Miriam Yvonne Seader, 42, pleaded guilty to forgery, a felony, for providing fake pay stubs and tax documents to her probation officer, according to a news release from the Adams County District Attorney’s office. Seader was required to provide the documents as part of her probation.

Between September 2013 to April 2014, Seader embezzled $183,000 from Regent Power and Compression in Commerce City. Seader worked at the company as a bookkeeper.
