Re: Northeast Denver flood-control project could spark lawsuits, April 8 news story.
I have been dumbfounded since I first heard about the Colorado Department of Transportation s proposal to make Interstate 70 through northeast Denver a subterranean tunnel in a flood plain. I puzzled as to how big a pump it would take to keep it dry. Now I hear the city plans to spend millions to mitigate future floods in the same area.
I have a name suggestion for the new corridor. We can call it the I-70 Flood Control and Prevention Diversion Tunnel and Retention Pond.
