
A court hearing for a man accused of shooting and killing a Centennial doctor and wounding two women — including his wife — has been delayed until Monday.
Kevin Lee Lyons, 46, was scheduled to appear in Arapahoe County District Court on Wednesday. The court appearance has been pushed back to 9 a.m. Monday, according to a Colorado Judicial Department spokesman.
Lyons allegedly on April 4. He is accused of shooting and killing as he ran out of his home to help two women.
The 65-year-old was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Lyons faces 12 felony counts. The charges include one count of first-degree murder after deliberation, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and four counts of attempted first-degree murder of a peace officer.
Attorneys on Monday are expected to discuss setting a preliminary hearing in the case.
