Pueblo police say a gang-affiliated teenage purse-snatching suspect broke his victim’s teeth when he robbed her Wednesday afternoon in a King Sooper’s parking lot.

Moises Andrew Gomez, 19, is accused of second-degree assault in the confrontation on the 3000 block of West Northern Avenue.

Police say bystanders chased Gomez down and apprehended him in a nearby parking lot before officer arrived to take him into custody.

Gomez’s alleged victim was injured when he pushed her from behind, forcing her to fall on her face, investigators say.
