You may recall that when John Michael Bowlen was trying to assure an emergency dispatcher last year that everything was fine after his girlfriend called 911 and hung up, he told the dispatcher, “I’m a man of the city, a friend of the mayor, and everybody knows exactly who I am.”
Actually, of course, most of us had never heard of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen’s boastful son, nor did we have any interest in getting to know this young man with a striking sense of entitlement.
Yet Bowlen’s statement was quite prescient, even if he didn’t know it at the time. Ten months later, everybody now knows exactly who he is: He’s the guy who was found guilty Thursday of harassment.
