Officials have identified the man whose body was found Wednesday in a trash can in an alley in east Denver.
The Denver Medical Examiner’s office said the body of Marc Koenig, 35, was found in a “large rolling trash can” Wednesday afternoon after just before 2 p.m. to the alley in the 3200 block between High and Race streets.
An autopsy has been completed, but the news release from the examiner’s office says, “the cause and manner of death is pending investigation.”
A Denver Police Department spokeswoman said police are still treating the case as a “death investigation.”
According to court records, a woman filed a restraining order against Koenig a month ago.
