GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a hillside home in Glenwood Springs.

The Post Independent reports (http://tinyurl.com/jaubtj7 ) that no injuries were reported in the Monday blaze, but Glenwood Fire Chief Gary Tillotson says at least seven people have been displaced.

Firefighters had been able to keep the fire contained to the one home.

Flames and heavy smoke had caused road closures for several hours, forcing a nearby school to arrange student pickup locations for parents. Roaring Fork School District Superintendent Diana Sirko says some parents were told to pick up students on property at the Glenwood Springs airport.

The fire drew a response from multiple agencies, including the Glenwood Springs Fire Department, Colorado River Fire Rescue and the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
